Review:
Saw advance screening this Friday evening. The fun does not have a movie justice. You know, like in most films you remember the funny parts and bring them up as you leave the theater? This one, it's hard to remember, because the best part THERES them.Unlike so many of his previous films, where Vince Vaughn is usually reduced to the role of the thief scene, here we get a full dose of Babaganush, and he's in his finest form with swingers . If you liked him in his Swingers / Made person, you'll love it here. Some of the reefs, he literally will have you holding your side laughter.Owen Wilson Owen Wilson. You either like it or you do not. Hes a straight man in this film, although it does have some pretty good lines too, and he has great chemistry with Vaughn, especially in scenes where Theyre fighting. Hes Ian Vaughns yang. The film certainly earns its rated R. Theres a healthy dose of nudity, sex-related jokes and F-bombs. But this is not the gross-out humor and American Pie. It pushes the boundaries, but not just as a shock. His genuinely funny.I saw the movie with a bunch of critics, usually jaded type, laughing their asses off as well. Guys love this movie and will be quoting it for the rest of the year. Girls will love it as well, though there is a romantic subplot (cheesy at times, but to forgive, considering how funny film), Rachel McAdams doing a great job, as Owen Wilson's love interest. Isla Fisher plays the role of the thief in this scene, serving as Vince Vaughns psycho love interest. And Chris Walken Chris Walken. So general .. ironic, funny and nice. Better than Oldschool. Way better than Anchorman. Best comedy of the year, maybe the last couple of years.
