Review:
There are very few works of 20th century American literature, which can be called indispensable to our understanding of our culture. One of the few Jack Kerouac road. As everyone knows, the thinly disguised autobiographical of Kerouac and his friends in their meaning, but a wild adventure across America. 50 years waiting to be made into a movie. Now last. So, everyone already knows the story? Well, no, chances are if you're like me, read the book and still remember almost nothing from history. Book burning your music history, as if they are just powder shine its energy real pace even with all the cuts. The momentum that we have bad breath in the world Kerouac chaos. We come impressed with the power and do not content.Film could certainly be used to enhance this effect, but that does not mean the movie. Instead, we have the traditional treatment, with a focus on character education. Its a nice product, with attractive voices. History comes to us is very different from the book experience. Manuscript was rewritten to add breathe and objectivity. View Sal Paradise, only half formed in the beginning of history, the senses become a serious writer. We see endless lush Dean Moriarity finally coming to grips with the gradual self-destruction because of their immorality and suffering. This may be true of the final reading Kerouac believes that part of his life, but it is thought that tells Kerouac book. We lost our innocence, our last chance to review it, even for a few hours, take away.Im at Rage Against the concept of re-story, though, because it makes other changes from the book, which can be improvements. Some episodes have been censored from the book has been restored in the film. (Some of this http://www.univie.ac.at/Anglistik/easyrider/data/BeatEros.htm discussion). So the film is historically accurate, and a lot more sexual than the book. (This may explain the prolonged-release USA). Without touching scene by Carlos Marx (Allen Ginsberg) of Sal screaming about how he feels vulnerable because of poor repayment love Dean. My memories of the conversation was not in the book (please tell me if you think otherwise), but was expressed in a letter to Ginsberg to Kerouac for many years after that. These things change the emotional flow of history, of course, but it adds depth, too.Few of us actually suffer nostalgia sand overindulgence beats. But do not forget that this happened at a time when the public is completely saturated with the message that everyone should be a normal, safe, predictable. In addition to minority Beats attacking message, and especially without the On The Road chronicles the attack, the cultural revolution of the 1960s would have been even more difficult than it was, and perhaps less effective. Good, bad and the ugly, we need to connect to this story.
