I often find that in order to capture, a film today have put pressure or draw helpfully has a complicated storyline. This movie has not, but I found myself hoping it would end, and at the same time, anxiously awaiting the conclusion. I admit, I was skeptical because many Burton films recently have less than satisfactory conclusion. However, I went to see Big Fish (3 days before it was launched in Canada) with no hope and awe. This film is an absolute treat to our hearts, ears and eyes especially with every cartoon / fantasy scene as painted by Tim Burton and reliable excellence magic touch. Ewan McGregor is pure sunshine and Albert Finney gives one of the biggest events of the year, he * is * Big Fish. But I guess when you remove the beauty, doll house set, and all that is not really photography and modern technology, all you need is a very simple story, and therein lies the heart of this film, one can make their own heritage, the story of my life. Not extreme either through incredible adventures and incredible lies, but through the art of storytelling, and THAT is what this film is about. It is through our * story * that we immortal.Go see this movie, bring the kids, bring a date, bring your parents! It is for all ... anyone who appreciates the visual and emotional story beautifully irregular about the lives of ordinary people. 5 ***** stars!
